Saiph Savage is currently the Director of Human Computer Interaction Lab at West Virginia University. Her research focuses on the areas of Human-Computer Interaction, Social Computing, and Crowdsourcing. She is a social-committed researcher looking for strategies to mobilize citizens on different types of actions. She creates civic technology to organize collective action for real world change, which includes fighting disinformation, or helping gig workers access better jobs.
Some of her more outstanding projects include Chatbots that help people to execute ideas or initiatives (e.g. implementation of infrastructure to improve accessibility) through the assignment of micro-tasks. More recently she has purposed a strategy to allow immigrants to invest in community projects at their places of origin using blockchain technology.
